Barrios greatly admired Chopin and Beethoven and was greatly influenced by them. Out of the inspiration of the nineteenth century romanticism, he wrote this piece. This piece means fanciful, good-humoured natured music.

Primavera Portena by Astor Piazzolla

 

In contrast to Vivaldi’s spring, Piazzolla’s is absolutely different. The music embedded with the spirit of tango. Its romantic, passionate, dark and rhythmically complex abstract music. It has strong counterpoint elements and starts with a fugue.
